Ramadan in Bangladesh is an Exciting Time!

On September 1, 2008 Ramadan started in Bangladesh. Mosques will be filled with devotees and even non-practicing muslims. They will visit mosques regularly to pray and to honor Allah. Ramadan in Bangladesh is a time of festivity. Mosques and other organizations arrange teaching programs to educate with the Holy Quran. Muslims will be given a chance to recite the Holy Quran through Tarabih prayers, and they will afterwards break their fast with the Bangladesh Iftar. There will also be Eid gift giving at the end of the Ramadan celebration in Bangladesh. Children especially will enjoy Eid gift bags filled with treats!
